The SBAM is the sole custodian to preserve the banking history of India. We invite individuals from all communities to contribute to the building heritage of the Bank in the form of donations. The donation must be related to the SBI and its predecessors. It consists of documents and artefacts that hold historical value such as rare and old cheques, postcards, hundi, share certificates, booklets, seals, weighs, etc. We encourage the people who have been associated with the bank and the families of the deceased employees to contact the State Bank Archives & Museum (SBAM) team if they believe to have some material of heritage value in their possession. The material can be transferred to the Bank in the form of gift to the Department of SBAM. The same will be acknowledgedby this department.
